Building on the success of the 2023 SCWC Coaches Invitational Meet, this year's SCWC Regional Meet surpassed all expectations.

With an impressive turnout of 2561 individual entries, swimmers showcased their skills across 279 heats during eight exhilarating sessions.

A total of 586 prize money envelopes were awarded to swimmers securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in their respective age groups. In addition, participants in the Skins event and overall winners were also rewarded for their outstanding performances.

The event concluded with a thrilling finish in the Men's 17 & Over Skins race, where Hugo Wrathall (Jasi) and Matthew Hutchins (Wharenui) battled fiercely in the final freestyle leg. Ultimately, Hutchins claimed the top prize with a mere 0.01-second advantage.

Swimming Canterbury West Coast extends heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated efforts of all volunteers, officials, and timekeepers who played a crucial role in ensuring the meet's success throughout the eight sessions.
