SCWC Target 2028 Squad Announcement

The new Canterbury West Coast Squad Pathway highlights a clear appreciation of the behaviours involved in reaching the top of our sport - the Olympic Games.

This pathway will replace the current Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Squad structure.

We aim to give swimmers who meet the criteria an opportunity to access the necessary training support and overseas racing experience. With four years until the LA 2028 Olympics, this is our primary focus.

The Target 2028 Squad will include regular training sessions together, approximately once per month on a Saturday morning, with a team breakfast and performance sport specific education after the pool training sessions. The squad will also travel to various competitions outside of the region.
